With over 30 years of experience in educational leadership and public policy development, Dr. Julius H. Moss has served in various capacities for numerous higher education institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. His efforts have contributed towards improving economic mobility outcomes for historically underserved communities, guiding organizations seeking to improve equitable outcomes for community stakeholders, and creating inclusive policies associated with dismantling oppressive systemic barriers.
Julius holds a Doctorate in Educational and Organizational Learning & Leadership from Seattle University where his dissertation described the impact that organizational change management has on academic success rates among Black men enrolled at a local Pierce County (WA) community college district.
Currently, Julius serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at Seattle University where he is the interim Chair of the Department of Kinesiology, and he serves as an adjunct professor at Antioch University Seattle where he teaches graduate courses on educational policy reform. He lives in Southeast Tacoma with his family where he continues to advocate for inclusive education policies aimed at improving equitable outcomes for our most vulnerable students.
