CCER was originally founded in 2010 as the backbone for King County education initiative known as the Road Map Project, and we have since become one of Washington state’s leading experts in educational data and research.
We drive systems change by centering student experiences, engaging families and communities, and bringing together a wide range of partners to transform education in Washington.
Our Mission
To catalyze systems change in education by centering student experiences, engaging communities, and leveraging data to dismantle inequities and improve outcomes for every learner.
Our Vision
We envision a future where education systems are equitable, inclusive, and responsive—serving the wellbeing and success of every student, at every age, across Washington state and beyond.
Our Values
Racial Justice
We believe Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities deserve dignity, resources, power, and self-determination to thrive holistically.
Educational Justice
We work to ensure every student has access to quality education by addressing systemic inequities and lifting voices from the margins.
Liberatory Action
Education is a collective act of liberation. We collaborate across sectors to co-create solutions that reflect our shared humanity.
Community-Centered Innovation
The strongest insights come from students and their communities. We partner deeply to design and implement change that reflects lived experiences.
Quality Data for Equity
We use data that accurately reflects student realities—especially those from marginalized communities—to inform decisions and drive meaningful change.
