Board Member

Jonathan Joseph brings deep community roots, strategic policy expertise, and a joyful spirit of service to his role as a board member. An immigrant from Fiji who grew up in Tukwila, Jonathan’s lifelong commitment to advancing equity is grounded in lived experience and decades of work uplifting community voice — particularly in education, health, and economic opportunity.

As the founder and Principal of Roshni Community Consulting, Jonathan leads equitydriven systems change work with school districts, nonprofits, and businesses nationwide. His focus lies in co-designing impactful, sustainable strategies that center historically excluded communities. Prior to launching Roshni, Jonathan held leadership roles in government and philanthropy, where he shaped education policy, built coalitions, and guided investments that moved the needle on racial equity and student outcomes.

Whether facilitating grassroots engagement or advising senior leaders, Jonathan’s work reflects a passion for dismantling systemic barriers and building thriving, inclusive communities. Outside of work, you’ll find him surrounded by friends, family, and his beloved dogs — hiking through the Pacific Northwest (yes, even in the rain), cheering on local sports teams (Go DAWGS!), discovering live music, reading, or wandering through museums soaking up stories.
